International Accreditation/Certification

In addition to developing IQAS with reference to national standards (SN Dikti and national accreditation), QAC also has a mandate to assist, monitor and facilitate work unit efforts to obtain international recognition, in the form of accreditation and certification.

For this reason, QAC has a special field in this regard, namely the International Accreditation/Certification Division. Like other divisions, this sector also has a program, but the mechanism of assistance (preparation of proposal documents and proposal submission) is different from the National Accreditation Division. This is because the accreditation mechanism varies according to the procedure set by the accreditation/certification body.

Since 2011, UB has tried to implement and achieve international standards. In that year, UB was certified with an Quality Management System (QMS)  ISO 9001 with Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance (LRQA) as certification body.

In the following year, there is one study program in UB that has been internationally accredited, Food Science and Technology Study Program which is accredited by The Institute of Food Technologist (IFT). Subsequently followed by several study programs accredited by The Alliance on Business Education and Scholarship for Tomorrow – the 21st Century Organization (ABEST21), the ASEAN University Network – Quality Assurance (AUN QA), The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), and The Indonesian Accreditation Board for Engineering Education (IABEE).

In addition to study programs, supporting units in UB have also been internationally accredited, namely the Central Laboratory of Life Sciences is ISO 17025 accredited as testing laboratory and the Central Laboratory of Science and Engineering is ISO 17025 accredited as calibration laboratory.
